It may have "Fast Boot" turned on, which would make it not allow you to go into BIOS when starting the computer.

You will need to disable "Fast Boot" from the power button menu. The power button can be used if you encounter Fast Boot problems.

1. Make sure the laptop is turned off. Not in Hibernate or Sleep mode.

2. Press the power button and hold it down. The system should emit three short beeps from the speaker, or headphones if you have them plugged in.

3. After the beeps, release the power button 'before' the 4-second shutdown override.

4. The power button menu should now display.

5. Press F3 to disable Fast Boot and you should be able to access BIOS now.

To enable Fast Boot:

1. When the laptop boots up, enter the BIOS setup by pressing "F2".
2. Now go to the "Boot Configuration menu".
3. Choose the "Enable Fast Boot".
4. Press F10 to save the changes and exit.

just did that and nothing happened. no beeps no nothing.....

Hmm odd. You should be able to access it.

Most computers, if you watch the information as it starts up, will have a little bit of text telling you which key to press (which is done while that info is on the screen) to get into BIOS.

You can also try, once you initially turn on the computer, Immediately press and hold any general key on the keyboard. Make sure you do this right away.

When I power on my laptop if I'm not holding the zero button it goes straight to the windows logo and under that its the little circle thing going around and around. If I was to press and hold zero while powering on I get the toshiba logo first then the windows logo etc.....sometimes I'll get preparing automatic repair sometimes I don't. When it's all done sometimes I'll get the sad face🙁 something went wrong we will restart ur computer for u. Error code: unmounted boot volume. And sometimes I get a dark screen with just my cursor. I really have no clue as to what to do from here. I can not afford a new computer nor can I afford to pay someone to fix it. I have a lot of important things in this laptop like pics and resumes and so on...I'm just lost, clueless!

Well, as long as the drive itself isn't the issue, even if the laptop goes you can get the information off the hard drive. You would just need to pull it and connect it to another computer using the correct cord for it.

In the end, someone is going to have to look at it to fix it.

Well I have been going crazy with it. Like REALLY CRAZY! Pressing allllllllllll the buttons at once, took the hard drive out put it back on, u name it I did it! Well I just left it on all day with the lid closed, opened it and. Now it says diagnosing your pc! Which is great I haven't seen that since the day it started to act up! So fingers crossed I hope it works!!!!!
