Question Unsupported format with Messenger+ on S23+

I was able to attach video clips with my Galaxy S8, and now with my S23+ I get this message when adding a video file to other Android or iPhone users.

"Unsupported Video Format"

Please select a different video


The video is mp4 and roughly 2 seconds in length.

I can watch the video, I just can't send it. I also have the VLC app as well

Any way to send mp4 videos like I could with my S8? I did not need VLC for this with the S8.

I should have been more specific....this is mainly when downloading a couple second video clip from another site. The clip is MP4 and I get that message when trying to attach the video.
