hello! i have an 128 gb m2 ssd on my laptop and i have bought another ssd 500gb m2 for extra space and speed! To make my laptop faster, should I format my laptop and install windows on the new one?? Can I transfer all my programs on it?

Solution
You can install Windows on the new drive but programmes have to be installed afterwards. Copy and paste doesn't work like that - everything has to be put in the right places in the Registry and eth App Data folders.

Remove the existing drive to make certain Windows goes to the right place.

What are model names of laptop, 128GB M.2 and 500GB M.2 ?
Are you sure 500GB M.2 is compatible with your laptop?

You could clone 128GB M.2 to 500GB M.2 , if you had a pc with 2x M.2 slots (or USB adapter compatible with your M.2 drive). Do you have it?
