Solved! upgrading HP Pro x2 410 to windows 10

Hi all, so I just got a hold of an old notebook running windows 8.1 with decent specs as far as I'm concerned and I was just playing around with it to see if I can upgrade it to windows 10 using the windows 10 64bit ISO. I have not done it yet because when I started the windows 10 setup, it gives me the warning that the graphic (Intel(R) HD Graphics Family) is not compatible in windows 10. I have updated the graphic driver to the last official version that I know of (Version: 10.18.10.3368, updated 12/2013) and it still gives me this warning. I don't seem to be able to find a newer driver that I can be certain of that will work with this graphic card (Intel official website does not support it)

My notebook is HP Pro X2 410 G1 (Intel Core i5 4202Y, Intel HD Graphics 4200, 11.6", 1.6 kg)

I have upgraded desktops much older than this (running even earlier versions of windows) to windows 10 and never saw a message like this.

So my question is, should I ignore this warning and just install windows 10 anyway? I mean, I guess there is a way to roll back (I created an image using Acronis) but I don't know if pressing on would mean I may get a blank screen and I won't be able to see anything to fix.

I just find it strange that a computer manufactured to operate windows 8.1 is not ready for windows 10.

Any insights is highly appreciated!

Some Intel drivers are not supported by Windows 10, but HD 4200 have them, from Intel support site https/downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81498/Intel-HD-Graphics-4200

Before doing the upgrade, you may want to clone the disk to a backup drive as an image of the drive. I use Macrium Reflect, works great. Make a boot disk from that program, connect an external USB drive, boot off the disk, and run the image creation. If anything goes wrong with Windows 10, you can easily image the system again with the image file.
