Upgrading PC for vr

I currently have an i3-6100 and an Rx 460 and 16gb of ram. I have enough money to get an oculus rift and really want to. My PC isint great though so I know I won't be able to run alot but will it suffice for a month until I have enough to upgrade to a 1060 and an I5 or should I just wait. I just want a minimal experience for the time being.
