usb doesn't recognise

My sharp tv lc-24le155M doesn't recognise USB. The manual says there will be a USB option in input but when pressed the input button then there was no USB option in input menu.

The TV may only support flash drives formatted in FAT32, perhaps try reformatting the flash drive if it's exFAT.

it is already formatted in FAT32.

Owners manual says drive must be FAT/FAT32 and lists compatible files

There may be other issues such as drive size not mentioned.
