This device might work with your media, or might not. Android TV boxes are much more flexible in that area because you can download alternative media player for your media.
Simple answer: No. What is your final goal?

If your TV does not have USB ports, but you want to use USB media (movies, photos), the easiest way is to get one of many $50 Android boxes - plug your USB into the box, plug box into the TV. You'll get ton of additional functionality as well.

Here's another thought - many blu ray players have a usb input and a built in media player that support a wide variety of formats. They've come way down in price and are now about the same price as an android media box.
