USB hard-drive connection

Hello,
I bought a new Fujitsu lifebook and i connected my Lacie external USB hard drive to it and I am unable to get into my Lacie.

In my computer under devices i am getting Minimus USB 3 but that is it. I am unable to access my external hard-drive?

Is the Lacie USB 3? And does the laptop have USB 3 support?
