Usb keyboard do i need a driverto use

😱 HI can you tell me if you have a USB keyboard do i need a driver to activate a keyboard when a keyboard on a laptop won't work due a fault on hotkeys as when i type i get a row of ttttttttttttttttt like that even on a backspace or when i press the space bar please i'd like some advice please its on a toshiba L500-1XL

Normally a USB key board just works. No driver or options needed. How old is the computer? If it is from the windows 98 erra you may need a driver.

my computer is 6yrs old windows 7home premium win22 thanks if do need a driver want is drive 14

i do need a usb keyboard driver for it can you tell me where i get one from

i dont know... never saw a xp or newer system need a driver for the keyboard.
My thought is perhaps there is something else wrong messing with the built in keyboarding and the USB controler.
