USB to Ethernet adapter help

Hello everyone,

Is there anyway I can share the internet connection from my Android phone through ethernet using a USB to Ethernet Adapater. The grand plan is for my phone to provide internet access to a laptop that only has ethernet port. I am hoping for a wired solution.

I've been doing quite a bit of reading and from my understanding they work the opposite way to what I require (connection are shared from the ethernet to the USB Device). Is this correct?

If there are any other workarounds or ideas to get this to work it would be much appreciated.

Most phones can simply be connected directly to the laptop via USB, provided the correct drivers are installed.

What model phone is it?
