Solved! use dial up 56 kb on alienware 17x

Hi ,i may need to use dialup will my alien m17x connect as there is only one port for dsli ?

Huh, I didnt see a RJ11 phone port on the computer.
They do however have wireless options or you could buy some type of network adapter for one of the 4 usb ports.

Hi and Thanks for your reply, i done a bit of research and ringing around and Walla! its simple ,buy a usb dial up modem.
They vary from a wild $80AUD local to a "grey" chinese built for $2.30 plus $8.00 post and marked 'made in china"so i guess it depends on your comfort zone wealth or poverty,status here i don't think matters like what???? dialup with a AW17x but hey,i have freinds out there don't have ADSL thanks to our OZ pollies and Alienware in their wisdom gave us Integrated GPU for those that dont even have a power supply but watch every watt they use.
A 20th century contridiction within the 1st world, so when i visit my friends my super AW 17 reverts back to 25Kbs dial up, games not a prob we race,as for on line updates ,well pour a long beer,put your feet up and watch the sunset .
