Using 2 headphones with speakers

Hi I am a hypnotherapist and want to use 2 headphones with mics so that I can talk to and hear a client for taster sessions at events. I have been able to use two mics with a splitter but if I plug 2 gaming headphones with mics in it doesn’t work. I have a windows 8 poss upgrade to 10 laptop - tech is not my thing! I have tried forums but the jargon of what to do has left me baffled. Thank you in advance

Which gaming headsets do you use? Do these have a combined mic/headphone jack or a separate jack for mic and headphone?

i used to headset for gaming and listening to music which i took from soundcloud music downloader , amazing feeling !
