Vaio VPCEB31EN Laptop screen is too dim.

I own a Sony Vaio Laptop (VPCEB31EN) last week my laptop was working all good but now when I power on it everything works (Cpu blinks, harddrive runs, I can hear windows startup tune) except that Screen won't light up at all (not even the vaio logo) Though I type my password and click enter and I can hear log in tune on windows and then I shut off using alt+F4. But Screen has gone dead.

I tried to reseat the RAM but no success. Any way to solve this?

Update: The screen is actually on but is too dim, I searched internet, could it be an inverter problem for my Sony e series vpceb31en?

Yes, could be the inverter or bad back-light.
