Give me a phone that plays my existing videos without having to convert.

Apple - forget it
Android - no AVI, WMV or FLV?
WP7 - Dont know yet

Give the customer what they want and they will buy it

Android will play existing videos without needing to convert. RockPlayer does.

AVI, MKV, FLV, etc .. x264, DivX, XVid, etc etc

Do a little research before you say a device does or doesn't do something.

Well seeing as the public beta for that only landed 3 days ago its not like I asked for something that is common knowledge, before then just about all were buggy and unstable.

[citation][nom]vant[/nom]If you forgot, Android allows me to customize my GUI to a deeper level than Apple could ever allow. Motoblur doesn't allow me to do that, and quite frankly it's just sad. As for now, its HTC for Android. Easier to root and not afraid of the company going under.[/citation]
Yeah too bad HTC has cheap hardware and won't do any decent drivers for the GPU. Check out glbenchmark.com. Samsung has a really nice offering with their new Android handsets...

It has been rumored motorola has been shipping out 160,000 a days. and most vz outlet stored receiver anywheres from 40 to 70 the opening day and sold out. Secondly received 25 more on saturday all vz outlets and sold them that day. Now online there sold out dont know how many was in reserve. Also you can root the droid without bricking it. the fuse technology u are thinking isnt related to the rom or rooting it is basically if phone goes corupted it has ability to take everything back to original. Secondly droid is open source that alone kills the iphone. U can call me an apple hater but if they moderate what i can download and make decision for me what is the point of that and not pointing out its eather itunes or the highway :)

But if ur simple and dont have much ability to expand things iphone might be fore you. If you like to tinker and modify shit and actually do things beyond just being told what to do get a droid. If you like being told what to do cause ur use to it. Get an apple :)
