vertical lines on my ACER laptop

i bring my laptop to school but when i get there i open my laptop (acer E15) and it has vertical lines. i bring it to repair shop, they hook up my laptop to external monitor and theres no line in it. what should i do? and what does it mean?

Screen is damaged. There's no fixing the broken screen. You have to replace the LCD panel at either a third-party shop or with Acer (not sure if warranty covers cracked LCD)
