Very choppy vidoes

I have an acer pc system. Is there anything I can do to have uninterrupted videos when I watch them. They run for 3-5 seconds and then down 5-10 seconds...all the way through. Happens on Facebook and AOL is my home page for Internet...I'm not real savvy technically, or I would try.

What is your internet speed?
What are the specs of your Acer PC (CPU, RAM)?
Does this happen with other PCs on same Internet connection?

You might have slow Internet, or your PC might be too old (and slow).
