Video card re-seat

Hello,

Recently my laptop had a problem, bbasically it wouldn't fire up. The chap that i bought it from said that it had to have the video card re-seated. Can someone explain to me how to do this

Can you give us more details? Make, model, Etc...exact problem being experienced.

reseating the chip is basically pulling it out and putting it back in making sure that it goes into its seat properly.

Have you disassembled a laptop before?

What you were told does not make any sense. Most laptops do not have a removable graphics card and most GPUs are soldered on to the motherboard to cut down the expense of a socket for the GPU or a connector for the graphics card. What is the make and model number of the laptop you own?
