virus/malware problem please help

so I think I got something that I didn't want from something I downloaded. it's called snap.do and it took over my browsers home page so I Uninstalled it from my control panel and now I cannot connect to anything. it's says "unable to connect to the proxy server". what happened and how do I fix this?

That link should give you all the instructions needed to remove it. Snap.do is a major pain in the ass.....
