if they cost 10,000,000 but only cost 50,000 to reserve, times 200 ppl, where is the profit? they both equal 10 million... unless there is addition costs after the reservation....

The best part here is that they could overbook these to insane degrees and the only way they get caught is if there is an apocalypse. Nobody is really going to care about stocks / money at that point. So build 2 of these, book them for 100,000 people, telling them all that they are one of the lucky 2,000.

The sad thing is they're preying on the paranoia of people. The good thing is they're wasting rich peoples' money. On a side note, the company is researching new bunker technology. Just think how the innovation derived from this project would benefit future colonization on other planets in our solar system.

You might want to double check your math. The facility can hold 2000 people (not 200) therefore, $50,000 * 2000 = $100,000,000 a $90 million profit. Of course, there is fixed & variable costs associated with the maintenance and monetary depreciation which will lower the profit.

You might like to double check your reading before you start throwing out numbers to "correct" other users.
[citation][nom]Toms[/nom]EACH 20,000-square-foot facility can accommodate up to 200 people[/citation]
[citation][nom]Toms[/nom]Costing an average of $10 million EACH for Vivos to build[/citation]
Note the word "EACH" in the above sentences.
So as you can see 2zao was correct in his initial calculations!
