Vizio has one hdm1 but cable is in it

I recently bought a Chromecast do I have to keep unplugging every time I want to watch cable

What model Vizio do you have? Having but a single HDMI input port on the HDTV is unusual.

If the cable box has Component/s-video connections and TV has similar use those. Adapt, they zig, you zag. 😀
