Solved! VIZIO Sound Bar SB46514-F6 Instances of muffled audio

Examples.... most TV commercials, football referee calls live, some music segments on Netflix. ie. Echo in the Canyon. The instances of muffled sound differ depending on the Network. The Netflix example with Echos was noticed today. All times songs were being performed were muffled. Commericals are random, but when muffled barely audible or only partially.

TV - VIZIO PQ65-F1. Sound Bar connected per instructions HDMI ARC, etc.

Any suggestions or comments appreciated.

The amplifier for the center channel of the soundbar may be intermittent. That would cause the sound to become muffled.
You can confirm that the problem is in the soundbar if the internal TV speakers don't exhibit the same problem.

Thanks for the quick response. VIZIO sent me a firmware procedure that corrected the problem. All's good.

Here ya go....

We are going to do a firmware reload and it is time sensitive and extremely important. Please make sure that you are following the exact troubleshooting steps provided and in the order given.

1. To start the process, press and hold POWER,VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons (the left most button and the two right most buttons) on the top of the bar for 15 seconds or until you see ALL LEDS flash 3 times.
2. After the LEDS are done flashing the bar will appear to be off but the unit will power on and only one LED will light up and start flashing. Then you will see another LED light up above it and start flashing. This process will continue until ALL LEDS are lit up. This will take approximately 15 min.
