How do I get rid of it when incoming text messages occur?

Well it will depend on if you are talking the phone's text messages or if they are through a different app.

If through the phone's texting messaging app, then try these...

Option A

1. Go to "Settings" and then tap "Accessibility".
2. In here uncheck "Talk Back".

Option B

1. Go to "Settings".
2. In here tap "Voice Input" and then tap "Next".
3. Now tap "Text-to-Speech".
4. In here you should see "Driving Mode", turn it off.
