Volume too low even with MAX settings

My old PC had high volume but my new one, the volume is too low even with the same headphones. I don't have soundcard. I have ASRock 990FX Extreme9 with no drivers because even with them, the volume still being too low. My OS is Windows 7 64 bits PRO. What happen? Should i buy a soundcard? It can solve my problem? Thanks!

Check to make sure you are connecting to the right output and that the output is set for headphones. If you are using a Line Out, you may have low volume since the level on that port is often lower than for headphone use.
