Warranty???

Can anyone tell me whether you can purchase the warranty directly from the
manufactor if you purchase your laptop from a store. Such as purchacing from
Best Buy then getting the warranty from Toshiba. Reading the fine print of
both store and manufactor the manufactor is much better. Thank you Terry

Depends on the manufacturer but in general yes you can.

Yes, you can absolutely do that, and it's the best way to go, in my
opinion. Call toshiba at 1-800-Toshiba. You want the "Systemguard"
warranty.

Note: It MUST be bought within 30 days of buying the computer (usually,
if the computer is represented to be a holiday gift, they will allow
until January 26th).
