they make micro-usb to hdmi adapters that will let you plug directly into the tv.

or you can go wireless using miracast/dlna to send the video to the tv wirelessly. a smart tv should be able to be connected this way. or you could use something like a roku stick to connect through miracast/dlna if the tv won't do it natively.

you'll need to check the manual for your phone to see how to turn on the wireless mode. usually it is in the wifi advanced settings but could be elsewhere depending on the android version and what the phone company may have changed as well.
