we had a power outage and now won't shurdown or restart asus

We had a power outage and my asus won't shutdown and won't turn off. HELP please. Its a laptop

if it a was a desktop i say it was a bios glitch. asus is know for the mb locking up and keeping the fans spinning on a pc that the power gets cut too.

try holding the power switch down till it shuts off. also pull the laptop battery for a few minutes and see if that helps.if that does no good i would go as far as all of the above and pull the cmos battery and reinstall.
