weird laptop problem

My daughters hp laptop works fine at her friends houses but not at our house. It keeps shutting down saying it has encountered a problem and needs to restart.

That wouldn't happen just by location, unless something connected to WiFi was involved. I would run some good scans on the computer for malware and viruses.
