Weird lines on laptop screen, what does it indicates ?

Hello community,

I am using Sony waio laptop 2011 model e-series.

From the last few months some weird lines are coming on the laptop screen and when these lines appear computer start hanging, when lines disappear laptop works as usual, but after few minutes the lines came again.

So after 3 or 4 times restart the lines get dissappear. This thing happens daily when I start my laptop in morning.

Please guide what's the problem with my laptop.

Video card is bad, overheating, maybe issue with the screen. Form the fact you are having slowness when the lines come up, it's most likely heat then video card. At times RAM issues can cause video issues when using onboard video.
