What 4K Tv and what size

I have a question about 4K Tvs I watch sports and games mostly in a dark environment and sit about 9 feet from the tv what brands and sizes should I be looking for?

About 1k to 1700 was looking at the Samsung js8500 55 inch. Will watch movies and stream 4K content along with video games most of the time in a dark room the Vizio p series this year looks goo but the 55 inch has a ips panel and I've heard the picture isn't that great on those. 3D would be nice but not a major deal breaker

Okay, so it's safe to assume that you're looking for a 120 Hz 4k TV?

A lot of them will allow you to lower the resolution to 1080p using your PC, and play at 1080p at 120 Hz.

Don't go with an IPS for dim/dark environments, you'll regret that!

Just a bit more detail before I start recommending TV's.

What currency?

Buying online?

I didn't answer this yet. However, it's very subjective. I'm 9 feet from a 77", and it's too small for me. It was too big for approx. 2 days, then I got used to it. Bigger is always better. If you could get a 65" 1080 for the same price as a 55" 4k, then I would get the 1080 personally. The 65" has got 40% more screen area. I watch a lot of movies, so for me that's an easy choice, considering blu-rays crop 32% of the screen area in the source.

I don't intend this to be an advertisement... but I purchase all of my TV's at "The Big Screen Store" because they look up online pricing, match it, then offer double the manufacturers warranty at no cost and $50 to double that... so for $50, I quadrupled my 1 year manufacturers warranty on a 55" Samsung 4k 120hz LED tv, and I got the TV at the same price as Amazon.

Now, you may not live near a Big Screen Store and if that's the case, I apologize.

Try to figure out what you want, so that you will have no regrets. It's always a safe bet to make sure you have 3D for instance. You don't buy a new TV every year.... right?
