What are some good cheap laptops?
As a highschool student with no computer, I am looking for a laptop to buy. I am entering a 6 week paid internship that will get me around 700 dollars. I need a laptop for school work (old fashioned parents don't believe in having computers so I must buy my own) as well as online courses and possibly some coding.

All I can seem to find are Chromebooks, but I need a Windows laptop, preferably Windows 7.

I'm looking in the 200-400 price range, any suggestions?

I can relate to you about the computers. My dad didn't really care, but my mom did (and still doesn't) want me to have any technology with the internet on it. I have a a few laptops that might fit your needs.

Firstly, we'd have an older machine like this one. Most likely an off lease laptop, it comes with a 320 gig HD, an i5 540m (older but still good) and 4 gigs of ram plus windows 7.

Next, this is about 450 bucks, but an ultrabook (basically for the best portability). It has a 3rd gen i5, 4 gigs of ram, a 500 gig hd and a 24 gig ssd, and windows 8.

Edit- I would have more but my internet is being extremely slow and refuses to load the sites I need >.>

Those look great! Are they the same price from the manufacturer or at the store? I don't have my money just yet, so I prefer something that will still be there. Thanks so much though!

Your welcome. I'd say go for that Asus notebook. It is a fantastic little laptop for the price.
