Thanks to leftover funds from scholarships and loans, I have enough to pay for my own laptop to use for college, and since my family has a lot of spare laptops, I figure it'd be best for me to buy a gaming laptop since my only way of gaming is my huge and immobile PC, and college internet is * so I can't just drag it around as I move from college dorm to friend's houses to relative houses to play online games.
I'm currently looking at laptops on Xotic PCs, primarily because I don't have a credit card and can just pay with a Money Order or Cashier's Check. The laptops I've looked at the most are Nvidia-based laptops because I've had a bad past with AMD and understand some games offer better graphic options with Nvidia.
My budget is roughly $1500 (realistically around $1600 but I plan on paying extra for fast shipping). I would decide on the laptop myself based off the Graphics card infos but considering my past, I'm not the strongest decision maker when it comes to graphics cards and gaming Pc builds in general.

So, Tom's Hardware users, what Xotic gaming laptop would you recommend I purchase?
