What can I salvage from this broken laptop?

Hi everyone,

I have an old Dell Studio 1558 (see picture) that is a little broken and I am hoping there is some way to still use the parts. The lid and screen have come off as well as the power button but everything else works fine. Is there any way I can use the components in a new laptop or something? It seems a little wasteful to just through it out as I know it works. The only thing I could think to do is buy a broken one of the same model but these seem to be around £80 and it doesn't seem that worth it for a laptop that has quite bad overheating problems. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.

About the only things you can use from a busted laptop is the physical hard drive, and maybe the RAM.
Anything else is specific to that particular model line.

all depends if your asking what you could salvage into parts for sale on eBay, there is a market for parts lie WIFI device, keyboard, Motherboard and LCD screen usually a low balling price will get rid of it quickly for you .. if your asking for personal use, ram, hard drive... nothing else is transferable to any other computer
