I want to know what are the benefits of rooting the phone. Isn't that equal to format. Sorry for not talking exact but not that familiar with android terminology and technology also. A friend of mine said i have to root my phone so that i can turn off many programs that are not needed. That is the meaning of my words.

yes, unfortunately the majority of phone brands do not allow rooting. some do so you might want to check with Sony first before trying to root it

yes, unfortunately the majority of phone brands do not allow rooting. some do so you might want to check with Sony first before trying to root it

Since i just bought the phone...it wouldn't be wise to lose its guarantee 🙁
