Republic Wireless cost is too high if you use LTE data (my son has a talk and text plan only - he uses WIFI for internet - it has been perfect for him). But MintSim, if prepaid for one year, costs less than RW. MintSim is about $17 for 2GB LTE data and $25 for 5 GB LTE data. They had a 20% off sale earlier this year and I have 10GB LTE data for $27 per month (versus $90 for RW).

My husband and I have been with RW for almost 4 years now. We love it. My husband the 4g plan. I have the 2g plan. I get a discount, if I only use wifi. We never go over our minutes. We are always using WiFi, when we are home. When we are out running around, we turn off cell data. We only pay 65.00 a month. Can't beat that. This is such an awesome cell phone company. I will never use crick, att, Verizon again.

You can beat that price with MintSim - prepaid for one year (I am just a satisfied customer).

Just kissed my old Samsung S5 Sport and Sprint goodbye. I will never buy another locked smartphone again. Say hello to my new unlocked smartphone, the Moto G5 Plus from Costco for $219. Going to pair this up with Republic Wireless $20.00 plan. I also looked at Mint Sim as it looked appealing. If RW doesn't work out then I will give them a chance. Sprint just had too many junk fees and cost too much for the little cellular data that I was using.
