What is the best gaming laptop I can get for under $1500

I am a student so I don't want a 10 pound beast but something that can play most of the new games well and is portable, but under $1500.

Any brands you got in mind? Assuming you would need to buy an SSD yourself to upgrade from an Hdd there goes some laptops/brands I considered during my research to buy one (with a budget of $1400 including the ssd). I ended up with the Asus, but the Sager is the better specs vs price and the Lenovo was just released (and seems to be having too many issues to be choosed).

It can run most modern games on high settings and it's a fairly lightweight option. Another option that's even lighter is the MSI GS60 Ghost (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152566R&cm_re=860m-_-34-152-566R-_-Product) - $1,419.99 and it weighs 4.3lbs. This option is a bit more expensive, but it comes with an SSD for fast boot times.

The only issue with thinner and lighter laptops is cooling. Generally, these types of laptops may face overheating issues because of their smaller chasis and therefore, I'd recommend getting a laptop cooler if you plan to play for long sessions. This is true for most gaming laptops as well, but thinner laptops tend to heat up faster.

If you looked at reviews, you'd find that the apache pro has good specs, but the rest of the product, like build quality, sound, cooling and battery life are all dangerously sub par.

you get a free wireless upgrade (to a very nice card) as well as a free copy of watch dogs, and you can get an 870M with windows 8 cheaper than everywhere else online. Plus xoticpc can configure it with an SSD as you need. I did look at ibuypower, but xoticpc does this cheaper.

The best would be an MSI GE70 or maybe a Lenovo Y50. This are excellent laptops under your budget. I am in the same shoes as you, and currently choosing between a MSI GS70 (cost slightly more) or an AORUS X7v2
