HP makes good laptops, so does ASUS, Dell, Apple, Lenovo, MSI, and Sony (among others)

Best laptop for what? Do you want something low budget (cheap), for gaming, light for travel, desktop replacement (large screen). Before this question can be answered, you need to give some more details.
