What is wifi in mobiles & how to use it

It means that if there is wifi service in your immediate vicinity you can use it to access the internet since it would be faster than a 3G or 4G (LTE) wireless connection. For example a if you use a wireless modem/router at home then you can surf the internet faster using wifi at home.

If it is a secured wifi connection, then at a minimum you will need to know the password to connection to the wifi service. Most wifi signals you pick up should be secured unless the owner didn't bother to setup a password.

to find it in the menu's
tap Application's > Setting's > Wireless and Network > WiFi settings.
and your Samsung note should start looking for WiFi access point near you , select the one you want to use and tap connect. if you need a password it will ask you for one.
Once it says connected under the Name of the Network you can tap it again to make sure it is correctly connected.
