What kinds of equipment do I need to step up my audio game?

I just bought a new pair of headphones (HyperX Cloud 2) as a first step to up my audio game, as my old Logitech's were not cutting it for me anymore. I know near nothing on audio and wanted to know kinds of things I need to also buy to get the best sound possible for both gaming and music. Thanks in advance.

if your using onboard mb chipset look at asus and or labs sound cards wiht audio amp on the cards. be careful lsome of the newer cl audio cards use the same chipsets as mb.
