What laptops run on 12v

Hello, can anybody tell me what manufacturers make laptops that take a 12v external input. I want one I can run remotely from a 12v supply, and most are much higher. And I don't want to go the inverter route. Hard to find this out on the web - this information is rarely listed

Probably not. Most computer equipment is designed for 110/220v. An inverter is your solution.

Not sure if I would trust it with a newer Dell laptop, even if it claims to put out 19.5v. I know Asus made some for their Eee PC laptops too. I never understood why DC-DC power supplies weren't more popular.

Thats an INVERTER ..which he didnt want.....

OP...I own a lappy repair company and as far as I can remember there are NO 12VOLT lappies these days..I remember one from around 15 years ago.... but the lowest you may find is 15 volts...

Ohms Law.... <<< read up on it and you will see why...
