What Macbook Pro 13"

Hello,
Would it be preferable to have the MBP 13" i5 upgraded to 8gb or the MBP 13" i7 with 4gb and HD upgraded to 500GB 7200rpm. I will be using my MBP for usual email, web-surfing,You-Tube, catch up TV, banking and basic i-life applications. This would be my first Mac so please help with any advice and suggestions as to which Mac i purchase. Thanks in advance.

i would suggest non of them but if you have to buy a mac, and using for web-surfing kinda basic things i would suggest i5. there ll be no difference for you.

There is no need to upgrade anything IMO.The base MBP 13" can handle all of those tasks perfectly fine

I know that there are cheaper alternatives than MBP and I know that a fairly old CPU is even enough for web surfing
I just said the 2 models you posted were slower than MPB CPU wise

You can easily upgrade the RAM yourself
