What should we evaluate when buying a high-performance smartphone or "latest model"?

What specifications in hardware and software evaluate when buying a high-performance smartphone to have better advantages if it becomes flawed in the future and is easier to repair?

Soon I will buy a new smartphone * Moderator edit for possible ad link* and would like to know what I should evaluate to buy it.

For example, ease of acquiring the ROM and flashing the memory to reinstall it.

No smartphone is easy to repair, it's just about impossible unless you have the right tools, and the only thing that can usually be fixed without replacing the full board is the charging port and the screen.

If you want to finding custom ROMs for them, stick with the more popular and higher end models. Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, LG Gx, etc...
