What would be better for gaming>

Which one would run games better? Like Counter-Strike:Source and Age of Conan?

Well, the 8700GT in the Satellite is more powerful than the 3650, but the CPU is also weaker in that system. I'm not sure if the CPU in the Asus would be able to boost it's performance to the level of the Satellite. I think I would place my bet on the Satellite as being the better performer in games.

HD 3650 = 8600M GT
8700M GT= 8600M GT OC'd

The difference between HD 3650 and 8700M GT isnt much, i would go with the ASUS one, it has better CPU and 1GB more RAM

The CPU isn't that big of a factor when gaming... I think the Toshiba would still crank out more FPS. Go with the Toshiba... CPUs are upgradeable, GFX cards are usually not.

Its not 20% faster u wont notice the difference, its like something like
7900GTX vs 7950GTX, 7950GTX is an OC'd 7900GTX

the 8700m gt is on par with the mobile 7900 gtx, the 8600m gt is on par with the mobile 7900 gs.

I think it will do great while he's not using Dx10 in games or the higher settings with AA on.

Better reviews on the Asus one... I'd probably go with that one for that reason and for the fact that it's asus vs toshiba... but that's just my personal preference coming through.
