You try hard to check on your people and they will come up with ways to make it harder for you to spy on them! Circle of life :)

In the past centuries, when the differences between rich and poor got too big, the situation was *solved* with revolutions which won poor people just for a matter of number of people.
The problem now, is that poor people won't ever win any revolution based only on number of people (massive destruction weapons, etc...). And the governments already has the tools to assure their citizens are under control...

Sadly, this guy hit the target. America is a big example of this. The main source of information for the typical American is the news media, which can report whatever they feel like and leave out whatever they don't like. Note that the typical American doesn't usually do much research before forming an opinion so he/she will take what any biased news group says for true.

Before we know it we are living in 1984.

Fortunately, to the Obama administration's credit, the proposed amendments don't appear to have convinced them of the bill's merit. After they were announced, National Security Council spokesperson Caitlin Hayden made comments suggesting that the Obama White House still does not support CISPA. "The nation's critical infrastructure cyber vulnerabilities will not be addressed by information sharing alone," she said. "[W]hile information sharing legislation is an essential component of comprehensive legislation to address critical infrastructure risks, information sharing provisions must include robust safeguards to preserve the privacy and civil liberties of our citizens. Legislation without new authorities to address our nation’s critical infrastructure vulnerabilities, or legislation that would sacrifice the privacy of our citizens in the name of security, will not meet our nation's urgent needs.
:sarcastic: I guess there are some people who fail to read far enough into the article.

The Obama administration doesn't approve of CISPA, as mentioned in this article. This is the baby of those jerks in Congress. I'm sick and tired of the supposed so-called "small-gov't" conservatives and liberal nanny-statists constantly trying to pass crap like this under the guise of "it'll make you safer", "it'll stop those ebbil terrorists" and "it's what Jesus would want us to do". Vote em all out.
