Hey guys,

I've got some deadlines coming up, and I thought it may be helpful to be able to add a big days-hours-minutes-seconds countdown timer to my desktop to help me visualize how much time is left. I googled it and there seems to be several, but I've heard too many horror stories about viruses disguised as other things to just go downloading whatever pops up.

So in short: Which do you know of that are safe, and which would you say is the best?
Thanks!

Dear Lady/Sir,

Kindly I ask your attention.

Well,

You have to try them anywhy to find the one you like and most of all, it doesn't conflict with the system or just some functions don't work.

You have installed Windows I guess, because you Googled.

Some websites have a little download file with options for commurcial stuff, you can decline them.

And you can have the downloaded files sepparetly checked by your Anti Virus program.

Hopefully I let you known enough and that you will find the answers you seek. :)

Good luck and have fun doing it. :)

Dear Lady/Sir,

Kindly I ask your attention.

What you could do is the next:

- When you downloaded the program, run an extra Anti Virus scan. Just right click on it and choose what's needed.
- You could go to websites of magazine papers. Some have there own websites and offer software for free or cheap.
Websites like: PC Magazine, PC World, PC Praxis, CHIP and many more.
All you have to do is, start Google and type one of thoose magazines, look for weblinks with the name complete or partial in it, like: www.PCPraxis.com or where you live, like www.PCPraxis.nl.
You can set your language at there website.

You could type 'open source software' at Google. There you will find a lot of website links for Free To Use software. And when you want to know something about the software, just type it in Google Search and you might find some answers about it at thoose next links.

Hopefully I let you known enough and that you will find what you seek. :)

Good luck and have fun doing it. :)
