That has better integrated graphics than what is on the older intel 4200 graphics (eg: intel 4200U), so it should do the job ok. CPU isn't the best, but that laptop will definitely play most games and handle Minecraft easily.
As far as RAM, 6GB is enough for that computer so you are safe there.
In short slightly weaker CPU than a intel i5, but slightly better integrated graphics.
Its tough when you have to compromise performance for a good price!
If you can find a slightly better A8 laptop (with slightly better CPU and R6 graphics) or intel i5 5200U at the same price that would be better, but its not too bad for its price.
As far as sales,
I got lucky and found an intel i7 4700MQ and Nvidia 740m laptop with 8GB of RAM and a disc drive on sale for $600 Australian a year and a half ago so sometimes good things do magically fall into your price range.
As an example of what that laptop won't play: It won't handle Shadow of Mordor that has these system requirements http
/support.wbgames.com/link/portal/24022/24028/Article/786/Shadow-of-Mordor-PC-System-Requirements. Shadow of Mordor wants a 2.6 GHZ processor and high end older graphics card like GT 460 or 5850 at minimum.
However that laptop will handle games like DOTA 2, Skyrim, Civilization, Bioshock: Infinite, Tomb Raider ok at low settings and low resolution like 1024x768. Games like FIFA 15 and Battlefield 3 will run, but the frame rates might dip under 20FPS sometimes.
I'm going off this website for that info:

It seems reasonably accurate.
So there is fun to be had, but for newer titles get used to checking if your laptop will run it and nearly always playing at low settings to keep the frame rate up.
