When will GTX 1060 laptops drop below $1000?

Any ideas of when the new pascal laptops will be under a grand? Cheapest I've found so far have all been around the 1300 range.

Pascal laptops are still the 'new' thing. Price reductions will take time.

Prices will lower when one/more of the following happen:
1. Polaris GPU laptops become readily available and eat into market share
2. Newer hardware is released, pushing 1060 laptops down the pecking order
3. Laptop manufactures decide sales are not as expected & need to reduce the cost to compete.

No guarantees anytime soon.

Either when Rx 480 laptops happen, or when the next generation of Nvidia GPUs comes out. (or obviously during sales)

Just recently, laptops with a 960M/970M dropped below $1,000, and the cheapest 1060 laptops are at or just above $1,500 so it's likely not going to happen anytime soon.

At $1,300 that's not too bad. It's the best price he's gonna find anywhere.

They could drop to $1049 or less during black Friday sale. In that case it would be good time to snipe one.
