Hi,

Actually you don't need to remove the battery if you'll be just replacing the HDD to a SSD.

Thank you, also I am moving the os to a newer m.2 drive still no problem with the battery being connected? It says that you can change them out on the Asus site for my laptop but I always disconnected the power before on laptop and pc's
