I would like to thank you both for your quick responses. I failed to give you all relevant info. Apparently i have the 11IBY version. It has to come to my attention that it comes with 2GB hardwired into the motherboard/battery pack/everything else.I have discovered that the ram itself is not upgradable(sp?). What do you expect for $150. 🙂

May I be so nosy as to ask what processor it contains? It looks like a netbook to me, and most netbooks maxed out at 2 GB of RAM anyway (even the ones that weren't soldered).

I wish it was the reverse as most netbooks came with 1gig of ram tho upgradeable & the 1 I have can only have 1gig as it is part of motherboard.

Agreed. My old ASUS 900HA only came with one GB. Swapped it out for a 2GB stick. Eventually gave it away, as it was only used as a spare. Neat little machine, but awfully weak.

Its the $150 version from Best Buy...for an extra $50 we could have got the next best model which is upgradable to 8GB although it still only has 1 slot
