Are you asking how do you find out if laptop has an I3 or I5?

download speccy and run it. Look on the right panel and it will tell you under CPU. Can also click on CPU heading for more info

You bought a laptop without first checking it's specifications? - - very strange.

You'll find the CPU model in Device Manager, under "Processors", then simply Google that model number for full information about it.
