I am starting business school in New York in August, and I am looking for an ultraportable PC laptop that will get me through the next 2.5 years of classes. I am looking for a laptop that weighs less than 3 pounds, with a 13 or 14 inch screen, and a battery life of at least 6 hours. I plan on using the computer in class (so Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and at home for internet browsing and streaming TV shows / movies. In terms of to storage, I need about 200 GB. My budget is $1,300. While tablet functionality is a nice perk, I don’t think I will use it very often.

Currently, I am debating between the Acer Aspire S7, the Lenovo - Yoga 3 Pro, and the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus. Which of these should I pick, and is there another laptop that would be a better fit for my need?

Thank you.

Hey JR, I would recommend a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834318241 the fact that it has 256GB SSD storage will make everything you do just feel snappy and fits the 2 in 1 spec.

Out of the ultrabooks/2in1 you linked the Aspire is the obvious choice, you get extra ram and storage which will mean it will last the length of your course very easily. The Samsung isn't really worth the asking price as really 150GB storage runs out fast, however the Lenovo could be good if you want to save some money.

One final option is the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834314751&cm_re=ultrabook-_-34-314-751-_-Product Giving some good bang for the buck but looks a little strange. Also something like the...

Also something like the Lenovo Miix 2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834318241 as it has the detachable tablet is very nice.
